The motorcycle section is just one of the many activities of the Japanese Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd which has two divided offices: in Kobe and Tokyo.
The name derives from that of the founder Shozo Kawasaki, while he has no direct ties to that of the Japanese city of Kawasaki.
Currently, in addition to motorcycles and four-wheeled off-road vehicles, the industry is engaged in the production of tractors, trains, merchant ships, industrial robots and aeronautical equipment. It arrived on the Italian market following the success of the Honda brand and has been appreciated since the seventies with the famous 500 Mach III with three-cylinder and two-stroke engine, known for its performance.
Although engaged in all segments, with the sole exception of that of scooters, Kawasaki has built an excellent reputation especially with the sports of the GPZ and Ninjia series.
